Chanel (88) Esprit Rouge Coco Shine Reviews, Photos with Swatches
Chanel (88) Esprit Rouge Coco Shine is part of the Fall 2013 Superstition Collection. This is the 3rd item I bought from the collection. You can check out my reviews on: Le Blush Creme de Chanel in Presage and Chanel Mystique Rouge Coco on the related posts below. I only got the limited edition ones from the collection for I am a strong believer: (1) that most limited editions come out for a reason, they are simply the best and companies are just such a tease and (2) Chanel is a luxury brand (pricey!) and I don’t wan’t to waste my money on products that are just a hit or a miss. The products I’ve purchased and have tried so far, works perfectly on my warm, medium-deep skin. So they are worth the price!
Chanel (88) Esprit Rouge Coco Shine is described as burgundy but it does appear as a deep wine with cool undertones on my lips. This is one of the 2 limited edition hydrating colour lip shine from the Chanel Fall 2013 Collection. It wore an average of 4 hours on me. It is nearly as opaque as a lipstick. It is very lightweight and glides easily without feeling goopy after. It’s creamy and got a slip but not too much, that to such point it will move to the edge of my lips if I pressed them together. It is very hydrating but never drying. This left a stain on my lips on the 5th hour of wear.
The formulation of Chanel (88) Esprit Rouge Coco Shine is the best I’ve tried when compared with the Revlon Lip Butters and Maybelline Color Whispers. It got the hydrating ability of a lip balm and the opacity of a lipstick. It is expected to be sheer, however, this just got a sheen but I still consider this as beyond average opaque on pigmented lip balms. If you haven’t tried any of Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine and you are anxious because of the price, this is a great shade to try for starters. I am planning to purchase Rendez-vous, which is an intense blue pink, when I get enough saved up money.
Tell me what new lipcolor shade is your favorite for Fall 2o13?
