Mac Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Pleasurefruit Reviews, Photos w/ Swatches
Mac Pleasurefruit Sheen Supreme Lipstick is one of the limited edition shades for Mac’s So Supreme Collection for Fall 2013 which was launched last July 20th, 2o13. It is described as a bright, warm pink. On my lips, it appears as a bright fuchsia which is very opaque when applied. It’s non-drying but a little bit hydrating. It’s creamy, a bit glossy and got some slip which makes this very easy to work with. Even though it is creamy, it is not too much that if my lips are pressed together, it will migrate to the edge of my lips. It is a lightweight formulation compared to Urban Decay’s Revolution lipsticks but not as lightweight when compared to Chanel’s Coco Rouge Shine. I have never tried the old formulation of Mac’s Sheen Supreme Lipsticks, so I will just have to compare this with similar products out in the market. It’s average wear time on me is 6.5 hours which is fantastic for a cream lipstick and left a stain on my lips which lingers for another 2 hours.
If you are looking for an everyday comfy, lightweight lipstick and cringe every time you wear a Chanel Rouge Coco Shine, Mac Sheen Supreme is a great choice as an alternative. You get the coverage of a lipstick and lightness of a gloss. Most lipsticks in the collection are limited edition and there’s only one repromote. I will definitely buy Sweet Grenadine and/or Candy Apple and review it in the near future. Throughout the duration of my 12 hour shift, I only have to reapply it only once. I lost its gloss and creaminess but still retains it’s pigmentation on the 7th hour, so I just top it off with a lip balm for extra hydration.
What’s the best lightweight lipstick you’ve ever tried? Do you currently have any of the Mac Sheen Supremes?
