Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Moderncraft Collection in Role Play Lip Tar Reviews, Photos w/ Swatches
Are you ready for rocking some metallic lips this Fall?
OCC Moderncraft in Role Play Metallic Lip Tar is described as a deep maroon with red pearl. On my lips, it appears as a raspberry red with warm undertones and metallic finish. It averages 4 hours of wear on me with eating and coffee breaks in between. It is non-hydrating and non-drying. It’s formulation is so sheer that it is comparable to a stained gloss in texture and consistency. It is also the least metallic shade that I’ve tried from OCC Metallic Lip Tars. It applies evenly and I don’t feel the metallic red pearl as feeling gritty on my lips. It doesn’t have a taste but it does have that signature OCC Lip tar peppermint oil scent. As it sets on my lips, it feels like a “second skin” for being very lightweight.
The Bottom Line:
Although it is sheer, you can definitely build it up to get better opacity. In my opinion, it works both ways: you can either wear it as a metallic stained gloss or as an opaque lipstick. If the scent of peppermint oil bothers you, then it might not be the best product for you. From all the shades, which is part of the OCC Moderncraft Fall 2013 Collection, it is the only one that I’ve considered as “wearable to work” shade. It is an affordable alternative for YSL Glossy Stains or Chanel Rouge Coco shines.
What’s the most dare-devil lipstick shade (w/ brand) you’ve ever worn?
