Mac Divine Night Collection in Private Party Lipstick Reviews, Photos w/ Swatches
It is still October and Make-up companies are #cray in launching their holiday collections. And Mac Cosmetics is no exception.
Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed with this collection. From all the lipsticks, blushes and mineral skin finishes that launched, there’s only one that caught my eye. And that is Mac Private Party Lipstick.
Mac Private Party Lipstick is described as a dirty plum mauve satin. It flaunts as a mauve pink with cool undertones and a semi-matte finish. It averages 4.5 hours of wear on me. It is lightweight, non-drying and moderately hydrating lipstick. On me, it leans more towards pink than purple. I absolutely love how subtle it is, thus, very wearable. It also got very minimal transfer but doesn’t bleed nor feather. It got a creamy texture that just glides with ease across my lips. Great hydrating lipstick to wear for the colder and drier months to come.
The Bottom Line:
I’m a bit disappointed because I was hoping for it be more purple than pink on me. It is pretty close with Givenchy Violine Precieux Le Rouge but the latter is warmer and more fuchsia. However, I love the formula because it’s satin but doesn’t have all the sheen and extra creaminess which makes it feather when worn. I am looking forward to 2 upcoming Mac Collections this December: Punk Couture and Riri Hearts Mac Holiday. Hopefully, there will be more unique colored lippies and blushes by then.
